This is a video of a concert held on 5th December 2010 at Breaker Bay hall in Wellington. The string quartet “Dusky Sounds Philharmonic” played in the second half. They were the first string quartet to sing with the Doubtful Sounds. Bryan had composed string arrangements for a number of songs.
It is a mixture of audio recording and video. The camera used at the time would only record 29 mins before needing to be restarted ( difficult when you were singing) so there is not a complete video of the concert. Also the camera did not record the first half of the concert for some reasons lost in the mists of time however it did record the second half, subject to the 29mins caveat. However there were also two audio recording of the concert: One by Rebecca Blundell with professional equipment and one by myself (Keith). It is a mix of that audio which is used in this recording.
There is also a short video clip of the food offered at the break. We used to provide intermission tea and food in those early years of concerts.
